Tyler has over fifteen years in the hospitality industry, and is a Snohomish, WA native. The son of Hidden Meadows owners Tim & Tracy, Tyler grew up on the Farm where Hidden Meadows operates today. While going to school, he worked in the hospitality industry, gaining important training and experience that he would use in his first business venture. He partnered with is father and opened Snohomish Beer and Wine Specialty Shop, which specialized in selling beer and wine to the wedding industry. Having great success, Tyler went on to establish the successful Snohomish catering company and restaurant, Trail's End Taphouse & Restaurant. After selling the restaurant, he spent sometime on the island of Maui working with a very prominent catering company specializing in the wedding industry. Working side by side with the best in the business, he was able to gain a wealth of knowledge and experience.  Now, living back locally in Washington, he decided to open a full-time catering company. Tyler’s excited to yet again begin his next business venture back in his hometown of Snohomish.

Chef Katie

Chef Katie has been following her passion for the Culinary Arts from a very young age. Her love of cooking started while spending summers with her Grandmother in Montana, who owned a drive-in diner. It was the love of the kitchen that inspired Chef Katie to attend culinary school and she was determined to learn from the best. She ended up deciding on The Art Institute of Phoenix, Arizona, which was home to not just one but two Master Chefs; Chef Walter Liable and Chef Bill Sy. Both Chef quickly became mentors and took Chef Katie under their wing.

While in school, Katie became a member of The Art Institutes Junior Culinary Competition Team. Winning 3 years in a row at the State level American Culinary Federation and taking 4th place at regional in 2009. This competitive track record is what sent Chef Katie and her teammates on the thrill of a lifetime. They were the first students to grace Kitchen Stadium and to throw down on an unprecedented episode of Food Networks Iron Chef America. Chef Katie and her two Soux chef's and good friends met Iron Chef Michael Symon in an Epic Balsamic Vinegar Battle. Although they didn’t win the Battle, they did hold their own at the ripe old age of 20 making them the youngest Chefs to compete on the show.

“Chef Katie really knows her stuff. From our appetizers to our dinner, The Wooden Spoon knocked it out of the park.
— Kendra H.

Since then Chef Katie has honed her talents while working at a Four Diamond Restaurants, Mosaic located in North Scottsdale, Arizona and The Barking Frog at Willows Lodge in Woodinville, Washington. She was also a Lead Baker for JW Marriott Desert Ridge, Phoenix, Arizona working alongside The World Pastry Championship Team USA.

Following her sweeter side, Chef Katelyn decided to re-enroll at the Art Institute for a second time completing her Associates degree of Applied Science in Baking and Pastry. She jokes, “It was the best decision I’ve ever made, six more months of playing with chocolate and sugar? Sign me up!”

Having a background and a deep passion in both Culinary Arts and Pastries makes Chef Katelyn a double threat and we are thrilled to have her apart of our team! When she’s not working, Katie loves to spend her time hiking, snowboarding, cooking at home for family and friends but her favorite thing is enjoying the sandy beaches of Maui with her Fiancé Nick.
